Days after Noriko Sakai went missing following the arrest of her husband on Monday,  Japanese police issued an arrest warrant for the missing Japanese star. Yuichi Takaso, Sakai’s 41-year-old husband, was arrested on suspicion of violating the Stimulants Control Law.

A relative of the 38-year-old actress had filed a search request with police on Tuesday, and her talent agency reported that they have been unable to contact the J-Pop singer since Monday noon.

Initial speculation was that she may have been killed or had committed suicide.  Her cellphone was last switched on near Mount Minobu in Yamanashi Prefecture on the evening of August 4th.

UPDATE: August 8, Saturday, NORIKO SAKAI TURNS HERSELF IN. She has been arrested by the police and reportedly admits to the charge of drug possession. They say her DNA was found on the drug packets found in the home she shared with her husband and son.
